Retired Expert - Brian Peterson, IT Infrastructure Analyst
Brian Peterson is an independent IT Infrastructure Analyst. He has a deep background in enterprise storage and open systems computing platforms. A recognized expert in his field, he held positions of great responsibility on both the supplier and customer sides of IT.
Brian spent several years working as an Architect for the world's largest storage solutions supplier. While on staff at EMC, he consulted with hundreds of enterprise customers who struggled with the challenges of disaster recovery, scalability, technology refreshes and controlling costs.
More recently, he led and managed the storage and Unix departments for a Fortune 100 consumer packaged foods company. On his watch, they expanded from 80 to 800 TB in less than three years, yet they managed to improve service levels and reduce the unit cost of storage for the company.
As an independent analyst and consultant, Brian leverages his experience on both sides of the customer/supplier fence. He brings a common sense approach to help both end users and suppliers harness the exploding storage market. |
